He is fiercely independent,  and he thrives on helping patients solve their problems and cut through the convoluted healthcare red tape. His honed athletic skills as an avid outdoorsman and past military experiences help him rise to the occasion and bends rules to accomplish what needs to be done that even surprises his best friend, Errol Rivera. Adapting to these new and dangerous situations, he always lands on his feet, and manages to get the gritty jobs done.

Allie Stoker is Troy’s wife. Don’t let her beauty and feminine graces fool you. She can kick almost anyone’s trash on the cross-country ski track or in a hand-t0-hand combat situation.

Errol Rivera, M.D. is a Cuban-born physician who loves his country and has served it honorably for decades. But, there is a lot more to him than meets the eye. And, he is the perfect mentor for the emerging hero, Troy Stoker, M.D.

Sarah Haslam, M.D. is a psychiatry resident, and her mentoring physicians are threatening to kick her out of the program. A last-ditch effort to save her residency introduces her to Dr. Stoker and an opportunity to learn a few things from a master.
